NJIT OTD Presents the Future of Technology

The NJIT Office of Technology Development (OTD) manages the intellectual property created by New Jersey Institute of Technology employees and is responsible for obtaining appropriate patent or copyright protection on NJIT-owned intellectual property. University researchers seek new knowledge to improve processes and products for industry. Through public and private partnerships and economic development efforts, the university helps to grow new business ventures that fuel the economy.
Seven NJIT students, including myself, were assigned this project by the University. My title was web developer, and I worked together with my project manager, front-end designer, systems analyst, database engineer, network engineer, and programmer. The project was completed over summer 2004 and the official University page went live in October of that same year.

Features
The NJIT Office of Technology Development Prototype was created prior to integration with the main NJIT website and therefore functions independently. The prototype contains a unique layout and some features which needed to be removed for the final rendition (for example, the patents are searchable via a mySQL database) in order to comply with University documentum.
